Kruger Lodge experience are four breakfasts, two lunches, and four dinners, as well as safari vehicle and minivan transport, open-top, four-wheel drive game drives, three nights accommodation at Safari lodge, and a visit to the Three Rondawels view point of the Blyde river canyon. Thornhill Safari Lodge provides intimate, semi-luxury accommodation in en-suite chalets and safari tents. Fourteen twin share rooms are constructed from indigenous materials, and guests can take some time to chat about their days out game spotting around the cozy bar, over a sundowner, or just recline next to the splash pool in the romantic outdoor ambiance of the camp.
Important Info & Warnings
The group departs Johannesburg extremely early on the first day and arrives back late in the afternoon on day four, making it important to book into Johannesburg the day before the tour.
As dictated by Kruger National Park safety regulations, children under the age of sixteen are not permitted on the bush walks in this itinerary.
Attractions
To be spotted in the Kruger National Park are the famous
Big Five
, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants.
Attractions include the stop near the Drakensberg Escarpment to view the Three Rondawels and
Blyde River Canyon
, as well as treks and drives around some of the park's more rewarding bird watching and animal tracks.
Wildlife
The open plains of the area support large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope, as well as the predators which inevitably accompany them. Lions, elephants and buffalo, as well as a troop of Vervet monkeys are all frequent visitors to the park and its guests.
