Addo Rest Camp offers adventure in the form of guided horse trails and game drives, all under the supervision of well informed and keen professional field guides. Important to note is that children under the age of six are not permitted on game drives.
The Sasol Red Bishop bird hide, a PPC discovery trail (suitable for visually-impaired and wheelchair-bound visitors), the underground hide and a host of hop-on tours providing easy access to the sites and wildlife of the area.
Facilities at the camp include:
• A fuel station which provides petrol and diesel between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM
• A curio shop which also sells snacks and basic supplies open from 8 AM to 6 PM (times are subject to seasonal change)
• An a la carte restaurant in the main camp, serving meals throughout the day (7 AM to 10 PM ). Bookings are advised
• A swimming pool is available to overnight visitors
• A day visitor's braai and picnic area
• Public telephones and a post box
• Accommodation, activities (barring the Alexandria Hiking trail and Zuurberg horse trails), shop purchases and restaurant meals are all payable by credit card. There is also a First National Bank, with ATMS, in the nearby town of Addo, as well as further banking facilities in Kirkwood and Port Elizabeth, thirty-five and seventy-five kilometers from the camp, respectively
