"An amazing visit - absolutely NO criticism. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The game drives were wonderful - the guides friendly, very informative and humorous."

Wonderful Game

"We were very happy with the game we saw and the general camp amenities. We even thought the bedrooms and kitchen were better than Kruger Park which we stay at regularly but the bathroom was shocking, the shower was filthy dirty and the outside veranda table and chair could be a lot better (a feature should be made of this) - it was never cleaned and had bird droppings all over it. These 2 aspects of the unit need an upgrade and then you can really offer what you should especially for all the overseas tourists that frequent the park it is not a very good image!"

Our round trip

"We visited Addo for one night on our trip up the east coast to the Kruger Park and back via the Karoo. Although our time was limited we did manage a drive through the park and saw a reasonable amount of wildlife which included Red Hartebeest. Our accommodation was surprisingly good and well equipped. We also felt that the isolated situation of the Forest Cabin gave one the impression of being alone."

Addo trip

"I have been to Addo many times. We always take our overseas visitors there. This was the best elephant sighting we ever had. We stopped at Harpoor Dam at about 7am. For the next hour, it seemed every elephant group in the park was making its way down to this waterhole to drink and splash about. Lovely. Would have liked to see lion and giraffe, but didn't this time."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The rondaval with the view on the waterhole was awesome. Thank you for all your support!
The only thing that could be better is a cleaner pool. The pool was really dirty and full of bees."

Happy Seniors

"I made the booking for a group of women in their early seventies. They were very happy with the accommodation, it was clean & well appointed. All staff very pleasant. Unfortunately the visit was too short. Congratulations"

ADDO Experience

"Another super stay at the Park. One disappointment, gate opening times in summer are late into the morning (6.00am), too late to catch leopard. In the Kruger they open at 4.30am."

Enjoy

"A very enjoyable 2 days. The staff are friendly and helpful. Ablution facilities are neat and clean. The tend camp sites are about half the size they should be but the game viewing is excellent."

"Instructions for use of TV should be separate and more clearly placed next to the TV. We only found these later and in meantime found we had had all the wrong things so the TV didn't work. We didn't raise a complaint because we don't go the game park to watch TV - but the rugby final was on and we would have liked to see that.
We didn't see as much game as our previous 2 visits probably because the park had had so much rain. However this was offset by beautiful fresh green vegetation and wonderful array of flowers."

Elephant Walk

"We were stuck behind a herd of elephants for half an hour. They were ambling to a waterhole - a lesson in live life in the slow lane."

Comfortable stay

"Liesl and Tina had a wonderful stay, thank you. It is a little over-priced for local standards. However rondavel stay is unique and special efforts were made to view the SA rugby game on big screen on Sun morning. Thank you"

Relaxing stay

"On entering the the Park at the Colchester gate we were greeted by 3 elephants on the road just 5 minutes after our arrival. What a way to start a 2 night stay. The receptionist who checked us in was friendly and efficient. Our cottage was clean and cool just what we needed. Our stay was memorable for all the right reasons."

My Addo Experience

"We had a great time, everything was well organised, the road network within the park is excellent. We saw a variety of species including a male lion and lots of buffalo and elephants. We will definitely do this every year."

Love Addo

"Wish we could have stayed longer, but next time we will ask for accommodation that is a little less in Rands; we now explored the camp and will settle for the rondavel."
