Wish we could have stayed longer
"It was a really great experience, just once again making one aware of how great GOD is. The staff were fantastic, the surroundings very neat and clean, and the steak I had in the restaurant for supper was truly the best, tenderest I've ever had.
The drive in the reserve was a little disappointing, as we didn't see many animals. The peace and quiet is really something to experience. Thank you very much!"

Lovely day in Addo Park
"My wife and I had only an afternoon to travel around the park and didn't expect to see much. Well, we were very pleasantly surpised. The camp was nice (clean and modern), the service was friendly, the roads were well maintained, and we saw lots of game. Will definitely visit again."

Visit to Addo
"It is the second time we have visited Addo. The caravan site was very spacious and we had enough space for all our camping equipment. The bathrooms were always clean and is always nice to use. Having warm water to shower is also very nice. Addo is a small camp and therefore one can see a lot of annimals in a short period of time. We are all looking forward to our next visit to Addo."

Well worth it
"We had a good experience and found addo a very clean, organised and well run camp.
All staff were helpful and the service very good.
Just a pity we saw no cats and did not know that there were no giraffe or cheetah. Also the number of lions in the park made it difficult to see.
Well worth the trip and would do the same again with friends."

Our stay at Addo Elephant Park
"The cottage where we stayed was clean and comfortable. But there were no pyrex dishes for use in the microwave oven. Also some small salad bowls would be useful for just two people.
We also saw and avoided many dung beetles"

Adorable Addo
"We spent four wonderful nights at Addo National Park. Although extremely dry at the end of April, we were excited at having had the experience of being witness to a pride of three lionesses feeding off a Kudu they had just killed. We saw something of interest on every drive we took (even midday!)and will, of course, return again and again. Astrid Louw and Gay Le Roux, Cape Town"

A short but enjoyable stay!
"We stayed only for one night, on route to Gauteng. It was very enjoyable and we wished that we could have stayed longer.The chalets were comfortable and clean. We saw lion. elephants and kudu in the game park on a short drive. The shop was a bit disappointing ---. The restaurant service was good and friendly---the food could be more imaginative. We loved the Addo camp and would defitnitely prolong our stay next time,"

"we had a wonderful time, saw lots of animals, enjoyed the reserve and where very happy. there needs to be some maintenance done at the tents, but overal people are helpfull, friendly ext."

"Oorweeg dit om n lig in die dak van die tent te sit. Dit is nogal donker met die bedlampies alleen.Sit n rakkie in die tent om goed op te kan pak. Stortvloere moet deurlopend skoongemaak word.Baie lekker gekuier en sal weer kom."

"Ons het 220 km in die park gery, bitter min diere gesien, baie teleurgesteld gewees. Verblyf was wel baie goed."

"We thought that the park has improved considerably since our last visit about 10 years ago. We saw a lot of game on our self game drive and a lot of it was close to the road. We also saw elephant and kudu and warthog from outsde our accommodation. The accommodation was very good and so was the food at the restaurant."

"This was our first visit to Addo and we did enjoy it. The restaurant was pleasant and the service good. The cottage was adequate although one of the plugs did not work, but we were warm and cosy despite the freezing temperatures outside. The park has some lovely drives and it was particularly special as we had our grandchildren with us for their first visit to a game reserve, and they enjoyed it immensely. Just a pity we did not see as many elephants as we would have liked, and no cats at all, but that is just the luck of the draw, I know, but it would have been very thrilling for them as we are regular visitors to national parks locally and across the borders and are very keen for our grandchildren to discover the thrill of being out there in the wilderness with the animals. We will visit Addo again in the future."

Addo - Main Camp, short stay
"the staff at the camp were courteous and friendly. the utensils at the forest cabin were basic and some did not work - we reported this. left shoes behind by mistake - called to report and call was returned within 5 hours with a positive answer. have booked to go again in 4 weeks but in the tents this time"

Good animals, disappointing accommodation
"Game viewing was great, but the accommodation was disappointing. Unit was clean & functional which was great. But bed bases were missing slats leaving the mattress unsupported. Also all the Forest cabins appear to have great views, except for the central unit which we stayed in. Our view was of the surrounding cabins. Don't think it's fair to be charged the same but not to have the same view as the other units."

"We loved the cottage, the stunning view from the balcony, the braai, very much privacy and lovely designed. Everything we needed was in the cottage. It was a pity we only stayed 1 night. Also the park was beyond expectation.
My only problem has been the entrance fee for the park which I paid twice, because the cashier told me my credit card didn't work, so I paid it also cash. After many telephone-calls and a fax I still didn't receive the double paid amount for the entrance. That's a pity.....
Also it would have been better to inform tourists about the Wild Card. But for the rest: I will surely come back and buy a Wild Card."

"Our trip was fantastic. Accommodation was good, restaurant excellent, service very good and our game drive with Ryan was brilliant. He was very informative and we saw hundreds of elephant and lots of other game."
