Amatikulu Tented Camp
(

)
The Amatikulu Nature Reserve is situated along the picturesque KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, approximately 100km from Durban in the KwaZulu-Cape coastal forest mosaic that extends along the Indian Ocean. The tented camp looks onto the forested dunescapes and abundant vegetation surrounding the banks of the Amatikulu River.
The camp has a panoramic view of the sea and, from the whale-watching tower built on the dunes a short distance from the reserve, Humpback and Southern Right whales can be spotted. Lush coastal vegetation is home to an array of wildlife species, which visitors are able to view from wooded platforms overlooking the reserve.

A time of relaxation and rest is what we experienced at Amatikulu Tented Safari Camp. The camp is very basic, and actually needs a bit of maitenance done to it, but the actual place, the river and sea where just so amazing. If they took the time to fix the place up it would be an exceptional place to visit.
