From Silwervis Dam guests have the opportunity to spot hippo, crocodile, bushbuck, nyala and even the occasional leopard. The Nshawu pans are an excellent area to see game such as Blue Wildebeest, Burchell's Zebra, buffalo and the tsessebe. Black-backed jackal and caracal are among the notable smaller species in the area.
Birding in the Silvervis and Rooibosrandt Dams can yield Greater Painted Snipe, White-backed Duck, Common Redshank and Osprey sightings.
Natal mahogany, brack thorn mustard tree, sausage tree, apple leaf, mixed bushwillow, silver cluster leaf, round leafed teak, buffalothorn, sycamore fig, magic guarri, marula, jackalberry, leadwood, mopane, wilddate palm, weeping boer bean, reeds and mixed acacias can all be found in and around the
Bateleur region.
