Travel routes and times from central Gauteng are listed below. Travel by road requires entry through one of Kruger National Park's gates.
By Road - Phalaborwa Gate:• Take the N1 toll-road to Polokwane (Pietersburg).
• 40 km before Polokwane turn right onto the R71 and head for Tzaneen.
• After Tzaneen head towards Phalaborwa and the gate. Allow between 6 to 7 hours for the trip.

Boulders Lodge is approximately 55 km away from the gate. Allow about 2 hours and 20 minutes for the drive to the camp, however if you want to enjoy the game viewing possibilities give yourself more time!

Recommended game drives from this camp:1. Go left on the
S136 out of Boulders, which leads north towards Mopani. The first left is the
S146, which leads south towards Stapelkop Dam, where you will also find Joubert’s Grave.
2. Take the
S136, left, down to the
S41, a small loop situated just in front of Shimuwini Bushveld Camp. From the
S136, take the first left and then turn right, and right again, to follow the loop back to the main road.
