Visit to Richtersveld and Ai Ais Transfronteer Park
"The staff at Sendelings drift were fantastic, we underestimated the traveling time and were late arriving on Saturday evening, we planned to camp at Sendelings Drift but because we arrived late and had children with us we requested two Chalets for the night. Our request was no problem and the duty manager (Carmen) came from her home to let us have the keys. The friendly way in which we were treated was really wonderful particularly after a long trip. Thank you to Elias at the gate, he was very eager to help with advice.
We camped at de Hoop for four nights and really enjoyed the experience.
The only negative of the trip was, after we had crossed into Namibia and passed through the Border Post, to be harassed by two members of the Namibian Police scratching through wallets and bags apparently looking for diamonds but all the while trying to solicit bribes in money or in kind. Other than this one incident we really enjoyed our stay!"

De Hoop Restcamp
"The campsite was lovely. We were expecting rustic which is what we got. The roads are in shocking condition and the goats and sheep that are allowed to graze in the park was a disappointing sight."

De Hoop Restcamp
"De Hoop is and will remain the preffered camp for campers. Kokerboom can be as good if the water and ablution can be rectified."

"Thank you for the Richtersveld, it was awesome!
Some of the roads are just badly corrugated, and something sad was the new diggings between De Hoop, and Die Werf. It is sad to see how badly dug up this part is, and that it is simply left this way.
But once again, thank you for the opportunity to visit this amazing sacred place."

Richtersveld
"Where ever we travel, from Uberammergau to Sendelingsdrif, we experience the greatness of our Saviour and Creator. The Richtersveld is special, silent, beautiful....will always go back for this experience! We saw plenty birds, Springbok and Klipspringers, fished for Yellowfish and Barbel in the river... took stunning pictures... left only our footprints, as did the Richtersveld in our lives!!"

Also a nice area
"We stayed 2 nights at this camp. Nice for people who like fishing. If you are not lucky to find camping near the river you end up in thick sand. Still enjoyed it very much"
