As part of the larger Wilderness Camp,
Ebb & Flow provides its visitors with access to the popular bathing, rowing, and fishing which takes place at Wilderness beach, the Touw River and surrounding lakes.
Other Wilderness activities include:
• Water-skiing at Island Lake and Swartvlei.
• Canoes on hire from Eden Adventures (or (044) 877 0179)
• A communal TV hall, with DSTV
• A communal table tennis area
• Volleyball and basket ball
• Langvlei and Rondevlei bird hides
• Five hiking trails of varying distance and difficulty are located within the National Park
• Canoeing starts at the Ebb & Flow camp, winds down Touw River, then leading either to Wilderness beach or the Wilderness Lagoon. Canoes available for hire from Eden Adventures (or (044) 877 0179)
• Mountain biking takes up two scenic routes. Bikes are available equipped with child seats. Hiring is conducted by Eden Adventures in the park (or (044) 877 0179)
• For fans of more extreme adventures, Eden Adventures offers abseiling outings in various locations around the park. Bookings can be made at (044) 8770179). • Fishing spots in and around the camp include Leentjiesklip, Kleinkrans, Sandhoogte, Swartvlei, Eilandvlei, and Gericke’s Point
• Wilderness owes its status as a birdwatcher's dream to the many different ecosystems within the park, ranging from the indigenous forest to the rocky shore
Facilities are freely available in the towns of Wilderness and George. The camp itself has no shop except for vending machines available at Reception.The town of Wilderness also has the closest restaurants – a list is available at Reception. There is a laundromat and dryer, medical doctors, a dentist a pharmacy, and the postal service is available from the town of Wilderness. Fuel stations around the camp provide petrol and diesel, accepting legitimate petrol/fuel/garage/credit/debit cards or cash as a form of payment for any fuel purchase.
