2010 Van Wyk Holiday

"Very Clean Neat and always feels welcome.

The restrooms are well kept and clean.

A very well kept walking trail to the Water Falls. A suggestion to maybe include some rope ladders or platforms at the falls for the young and elderly"

Good quiet break

"Stayed 4 days over Christmas and it was so peacefull. Normally you have a bit of noise in the evenings at camp sites but this one was so peacefull and quiet. Could enjoy the sound of the nature. Accomodation was clean, beds were good, not the boats you sometimes get. Enough to do, went up to the waterfall with the canoes, went for a few runs and swam in the river. Perfect. Will go again."

Ebb & Flow Rest Camp

"We stayed at the Ebb & Flow Rest Camp in Wilderness for two nights as we needed a place to stay over on our way to Tsitsikamma. We absolutely loved it. Our cabin was on the river bank. We hired a canoe and paddled down the river, cycled to town for a drink at the pub and hiked to the closest water fall where we swam in the lovely luke warm water. All in 1½ days! We will definitely go back to Ebb & Flow."

Ebb & Flow Restcamp

"Great setting - enjoyed easy access to beach and canoes. We had booked 4 adults + 1 child - knew about need to bring a blowup lilo bed but forget that needed extra cultlery/plates etc for the fifth person

Ebb and Flow great base for vissiting area

"We went up to Ebb & Flow so that I could do the Outeniqua half marathon. The accommodation was the only one left and a bit small but we ended up having an awesome stay in Wilderness. We went to the awesome craft market on the Sunday - had Kleptico at the Knysna V&A and went to birds of Eden."

staying at Ebb & Flow

"Hi - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & wished we could have stayed longer. The accommodation was good - but slightly more expensive than previous places with about the same facilities. The tv room was not ideal as the table tennis is in the same room - so the noise made it impossible to watch tv - I suggest you split them more - other than that - was great!!"

Beautiful campsite, but overpriced

"We have been going there for years. As always is very beautiful. As always the campsite is clean and well run.

The downside is the above inflationary increases in price. We used to be able to go there and pay an average price for camping which would include the use of boats.

Now the price of camping is about double of the average. To hire a canoe is now R250 for the day, and one even has to pay for the use of a braai.

Although we had a wonderful holiday, we will definitely be looking at alternatives next time. Note although it was school holidays, the campsite was nowhere near full - I'm sure the price issue is the same for a lot of people."

Weekend Outing

"Me and my husband, My daughter and her friend left Uitenhage late afternoon. My son and his fiancee came from Knysna and as we drove into the Ebb and Flow rest Camp we saw a nice fire going already. We had super nice weather and spent almost the whole Saturday afternoon and early evening in the Touwsriver flowing through the camp. We hired a canoe and the young people visit the waterfall a few kilos down the river. The Saturday morning we went for a drive along the seven passes and visit the market at Karatara and met some of the friendly local people. My husband is a paraplegic and he spoke highly of the special ablution for paraplegics he could use in the camp. The Knysna Loerie came to visit us a few times in the tree at our tent site. This was a weekend well spent. Thank you to all the friendly staff at Ebb and Flow."
