Facilities
Due to our unique layout we offer the ideal venue for a family safari in a big 5 reserve.
A babysitting facility is available and must be arranged when booking.
Both the Kruger Park and the Panorama Route are a mere 45 minutes away.
Shingwedzi
This fine old gentleman of the wilds took his name from the Shingwedzi River and dominated this area of the Kruger Park for more than a decade.
When he eventually died, aged 55, he fell with such force that his weight drove the ivory shaft of his right tusk more than a metre into the soft earth.
The chalet that bears his name sleeps four in the main house in two fantastic en suite rooms. A further two people can be accommodated in a secluded annex across the court yard. Timber veranda and ideal plunge pool provide idyllic vantage points to survey the river while resting the mind, body and soul.
Kambaku
His name in the Tsonga language simply means "Great Bull". Kambaku inspired enduring respect and reverence among everbody who saw him.
The chalet that bears his name is the largest of the three, sleeping nine people in two double rooms on the ground floor, and two further doubles and a single on the first floor.
Equipped with a beautiful large rock pool, a boma and a trampoline, Kambaku is an ideal family home.
Shawu
His left tusk measured 105 – 317 cm from base to tip, the longest ever measured in the Kruger Park and the sixth longest measured in Africa.
The chalet that bears his name sleeps 8 in 4 on suite bedrooms and is attached to a hall incorporating a bar, entertainment room and conference room.
A boma, gazebo on the riverbank and private swimming pool ensures an unforgettable stay.
