Grootkolk Wilderness Restcamp - Important Info & Warnings
Guests are required to bring their own drinking water and wood to
Grootkolk. Pets are not allowed in national parks or any of their associated camp sites. All firearms are to be declared and sealed at the gate, the seal broken upon departure. Shoes are an essential for protection against scorpions during summer evenings. Important to remember is a ten liter emergency supply of water in your vehicle.
This is a low risk malaria area, and guests must consult with their doctors or chemists before embarking.
Hired vehicles are available at
Twee Rivieren. No travelling is allowed in the park after dark, and guests are encouraged to keep travelling times in mind when driving between camps. Filling stations are available along the park's periphery, and legitimate petrol/fuel/garage/credit/debit cards or cash are all accepted.
