"Our recent visit to the above mentioned park was an experience that we will always remember. From the moment when we arrived at the gate we were greeted with friendliness by all the staff at the camp.We enjoyed the meals and the happy smiles of all the staff in the dining room. The prices at the shop were very reasonable compared to the Kruger National
Park. Our next visit will definately be longer.Keep up the excellent standard of the Karoo National Park!"

AN ANCIENT WORLD

"The accommodation was more than good and the people very friendly and helpful - but what we really loved was the scenery and the quiet. We were very conscious of being in an ancient land.

I would have liked more on the palaeontological aspects. The fossil trail and the interpretative centre, however, were worth a visit.

A good quality pair of binoculars is essential, as in any game reserve, to see the animals at the foot of the mountains.

Well-worth a visit or two ...."

Karoo National Park

"A one night stopover but enough of a taster to tell us that we must stay longer next time and explore what is on offer. Best Parks Board accomodation we've stayed in!"

"We only spent the night at the camp. the accomodation and the restuarant were great. Food was outstanding and the staff service from time of arrival to check out very professional. Will definately be spending some more time there in the near future."

Experience in Karoo

"We stayed there over one night so our visit was brief.

Oue accomodation was excellent with very comfortable rooms and a great braai area.

Breakfast was also of a very good standard and we enjoyed it immensely.

As we arrived quite late in the evening due to our travel arrangements, we only got one chance to get into the park and that was for just over an hour, and on the morning of our departure.
We saw some wildlife but maybe not as much as we expected.

We would certainly return but would have to give it an extra day to appreciate the terrain and wildlife more"

Karoo National Park experience

"We extended our stay to 2 nights initially, and then returned on the 25.01 for another night. We did the circular route of 50 km at the top twice because it offers such beautiful scenery. We saw there Red Hartebeest and a large herd of about 20 Gemsbok, apart from the Kudus and Zebras mentioned. The lions were nowhere to be found. - With my Landrover Freelander I attempted the Afsaal 4x4 route. However, after the first donga the path became very overgrown. I did not want to scratch the paintwork of my car. Perhaps next time I will attempt it again.
We love to stay at Karoo NP every time we travel between Johburg and the Cape, and have done so a number of times already."

Karoo National Park

"What a fantastic surprise! We have missed so much, driving past such a resort. From entering the gate, you are impressed by the friendliness, professionalism and informed staff.

The facilities in the camping site, where we stayed, were of a very high standard.

I definitely promote your resort where ever I come.

Thanks for a wonderful stay

Karoo National Park

"We had a fantastic time and the Park is stunning. It was our first visit and we were impressed. The only criticism I have is that the ablutions could have been cleaned more than once a day."

A quiet moment...

"I am a trauma doctor and the Karoo always supplies me with the peace and quiet that I need to recharge and do my job with the vigor and mental strength it requires.

Thanks for a brilliant hiding place..."

Enjoyable Time

"We had a short, but most enjoyable time - Thank You.

The staff at reception and in the shop and in the dining were most helpful, courteous and efficient.

The chalet was clean and comfortable and what I liked the most is that there was NO t.v. so we could enjoy the sounds of nature."

Great holiday!

"My husband and I took our 2 year old son along on our Karoo Camping Holiday and we had a great time. The camp sites were extremely neat and well kept along with the ablutions. The mountain tortoises roaming the camp site provided endless entertainment for our son. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the Interpretive Centre. We look forward to our next trip!"

pleasant overnight stop

"The accomodation was of a good standard. The park itself was vast and interesting. We did try and do one of the trails but lost the trail markers and gave up and returned to drive through by car."

OUR STAY @ KNP

"It was enjoyable, although we did not see many animals, but we really enjoyed the beautiful mountain ranges, mind boggling!
We also enjoyed the drive up the Klipspringer pass. The view was amazing. The swimming pool area is also very nice, although we did not swim!"

Karoo National Park in August

"We really had a fabulous time. The game watching was great and plenty of animals early in the morning.

On a not so positive note is that the door of unit 15 was very noisy at night with the wind, with quite a draft inside the chalet, never slept well for both nights. I would also recommend that the shower head be replaced.

Nevertheless we will visit again as it left us with good memories.

Regards

Koos and Lynette Franken"
