Karoo National Park
"There was a lack of specific information about the conservancy fee for non-SA citizens (this was MUCH larger than the expected fee charged SA citizens), or about the time of arrival or the need to have a passport."

Family Fun
"What I did enjoy about the Karoo National Park was the accommodation - the cottages are exceptionally clean and the Air-conditioned rooms are a blessing. I really slept well which is not usually the case. As a family it was nice to unwind a bit and we had fun playing cards and games - sadly missing in our daily routine (fun that is)
Overall a pleasant experience and I would recommend spending time here."

Karoo Rest Camp
"Good accommodation, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but disappointing that they offered tinned fruit and not fresh. It's also a pity that they have introduced lions into the park as we saw little game and missed being able to walk around freely like previously."

Karoo National Park
"We had a rather pleasant stay in the unit and an enjoyable couple of meals in the restaurant. my wife unfortunately left her rather expensive Make up kit behind in the chalet and we were wondering whether this could be sent to JHB or pretoria for us to recover.
Many thanks"

Karoo National Park
"Beautiful camp and nice accommodation. We also very much enjoyed the swimming pool and the morning game drive.
We did though not enjoy the food in the restaurant where we had dinner. The breakfast was also quite poorish.
Contrarily, the shop is well equipped."
- Inge Herbert (German, SA resident)

Braai wood
"The only inconvenience was that after traveling hundreds of km and looking forward to relaxing there was no braaiwood or charcoal available from the shop. The shop assistant said that they struggle to get stock we had to drive to town. Both Pick and Pay and Checkers had wood?! 'Struggle to get stock?'"

Discovery of a gem!
"We so impressed that we extended our stay from one night to two.The welcome and service we had from the gate onwards was a pleasure and we will certainly be back! The accommodation was superb and the birding and animals were a big surprise especially the lion! Our only disappointment was the lack of a guide to take us on a night drive. Well done and good luck."

Karoo cottage
"Cottage beautiful and clean. People all helpful and smiling. Breakfast: cooked is excellent but we prefer a health breakfast. The offer was muesli with fruit in syrup and yoghurt....what we got was a plate of fruit in syrup with a dash of yoghurt and a sprinkling of muesli. More of a dessert and hardly healthy! Your old way of offering a health buffet with cereals, yoghurt, health muffins, (not scones), and fruit was far more nutritious, edible and healthy! Will return but will skip breakfast."

Stay over
"Was nice, but for locals very expensive just for one night. Very nice evening dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Nice 4x4 trail too."

One night at Karoo National Park
"Every time we drive pass the gate of this park in the past, we wondered why we never book one or two nights on our way to Cape town or George. This time we did it - what a wonderful experience, but one night is not enough. Next time we will come with our 4X4 and we might even consider camping.
The stay was great and the breakfast was wonderful."

Overnight stay in Karoo N Park
"Sadly we were only over-nighting and arrived late afternoon and left early morning. Our chalet was well equipped and comfortable. We do find it overpriced to other self-catering accomm we use around SA, although we are aware this is in a national park that requires upkeep."
- J Bremner (South African)

Visit to The Karoo
"Absolutely wonderful. We have used it only as a sleep over for one night. Big mistake! We only had 2 hours to drive around the afternoon we arrived. But still worth it. The peace and atmosphere only the Karoo can provide was outstanding! We definitely enjoyed it. Thank you very much."
