South Africa's Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, and Gemsbok National Park in Botswana are linked under the banner of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, a 38,000 km² game reserve containing sprawling red sand dunes, dry vegetation, and a large mammalian predator population of black-maned Kalahari lions, cheetahs, and leopards,herds of large herbivores including blue wildebeest, springbok, and eland, and more than 200 bird species, including vultures and raptors such as eagles,buzzards, and secretary birds.
