Letaba Restcamp - Activities & Facilities
(130
reviews)
Letaba Camp offers adventure in the form of guided bush walks and game drives, all under the supervision of well informed and keen professional field guides. Important to note is that children under the age of six are not permitted on game drives, and children under the age of twelve are restricted from game walks. Subject to weather conditions, the Mananga 4 x 4 Adventure Trail can be booked at the Phalaborwa Gate.
Pre-booked, overnight activities include the Olifants Wilderness Trail. These trails must be booked up to eleven months in advance to allow the camp sufficient time to coordinate and plan group sizes.
The Letaba Elephant Hall and trips to the Masorini Ruins (38 km west of the camp), Matambeni Bird Hide (10 km North of the Camp), as well as seasonal kids educational programmes and wildlife film screenings six nights out of the week mean that there is always something to suit your interests.
Facilities at the camp include activity and camp information at the reception area, public telephones, a post box, a restaurant, a cafeteria, shops, a Laundromat, a filling station, communal kitchens and bathrooms, basic on-site first-aid assistance, a swimming pool, a day visitor picnic area on the perimeter of the camp with its own swimming pool, cutlery and plate hampers available at reception. Cell phone reception is also fully available, and limited channel DSTV televisions in guest rooms.
