About the Camp
Mala Mala - 16 000 hectares of the
Sabi Sand's single largest privately owned game reserve, an award winning safari destination, and an unfenced gem of densely populated lowveld. Home to various habitats, themselves host to a multitude of bird, mammal, and fish species - ranging from its
Big Five territory to its twilight soaked viewing decks and luxury accommodation. Camps are decorated with genuine original bronzes and animal trophies from this area, steeped in its history.
Rattray's at Mala Mala is highly exclusive, owing to its small size. Luxury chalet units called "khayas" are all finished with wooden floors and under-floor heating - ensuring perfect comfort in summer or winter months. Suites are constructed on individual, removed platforms, dominating a series of sublime views over the Sand River.
From its exquisite outdoor dining, luxury plunge pools, access to boundless wildlife and well appointed luxury suites, Mala Mala's Rattray's camp is a colonial themed wonderland, nestled into the trees and truely making the Sabi its home.
