Off of the sleepy road between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape lies the small town of Colchester, and, a stone's throw away from that, the reclusive satelite camp of Mathyolweni. A name derived from the isiXhosa phrase meaning "in the bush", this tranquil camp in the Addo Elephant National Park offers guests a both quiet respite from the bustling city, and an array of entertainment and activities, including horse-riding, guided bush walks, game drives, 4x4 trails and serene picnic spots.

We enjoyed the new camp. Lovely equipped houses. I would like to make a suggestion of perhaps put in a swimming pool. Currently you need to drive all the way to the main camp to swim. Especially when it is very hot and that should be most of the times.
