My stay was good, but the shocking reality is that only 2 houses was available for the general public to rent and that on a long weekend.We attanded the SA open water life saving event at Midmar. Many of our group members was told the resort is fully booked. Friday as well as Saterday night we noticed that only 3 houses was occupied hy our members. All the other houses was empty. Saterday night we had an emergency with one family who needed a place to stay.We called on the resort manager who came to the main gate to see us.He told us that the empty houses was occupied by resort staff.We did indeed noticed cleaning staff staying in these houses. My question is how can you reserve your cabin's for your own staff if that's your only way of generating income? Is the resort staff not suppose to have their own housing?
