"I paid for 7 people, but there were only 6 beds and 6 towels, reception refused to give me an extra mattress or bed because I booked thru you and they don't allow 7 people."

Mopani Restcamp
"Mopani camp has beautiful surroundings, but customer service can improve. The maintenance in chalets & cleanliness can be a lot better. The restaurant was good but stock in the shops could be more efficient. Pool area was brilliant. Otherwise a very nice camp but could be exceptional with a few improvements. Replace toilet seats etc."

Wonderful time in the Kruger Park
"We had a wonderful time in the Kruger Park. We have seen the
Big Five, that's wonderful. And so many other animal. Our time in the Restcamp were very good, we had good rondavels. And we were very happy with the good aircons because it was very warm during our stay."

Heart warming experience
"Overall we enjoyed the beauty of nature. We had minor glitch...the exit permit was issue with the date we arrived at the camp instead of the date of departure, luckily the personnel at the exit gate were understanding."

Please upgrade Mopani Camp!
"We were told that the gates close at 6pm. we planned our trip to arrive at 6pm since we had to first report at work. It turns out we were not allowed to drive in the park after 6pm. this means that we had to pay R1000.00 in order for the ranger to escort us (that is not fair!). I suggest you tell people to be at the main gates at least 1h30min BEFORE the main gates close in order to be there on time.
Fortunately, a lady in the Mopani camp was able to help us so that we do not forfeit our money as we could sign in on the 23 Sept 2011.
The sunset drive was ok, we didn't see much. We saw more driving ourselves than in the sunset drive.
The park itself is relaxing BUT please upgrade Mopani Camp. It is NOT AS MODERN as it is advertised (it is rather dingy and the bedding looks old and overwashed). The restaurant looked nice (although we didn't eat there).
Overall it was ok. I might come back but this time to a camp that has better driving routes.
Regards,
M"

KRUGER GETAWAY
"I,and my family had a wonderful time at the Mopani camp in the Kruger. It was our first time in the northern part of the Kruger and it made us want to come back again and again. It was very clean. We went up to Punda Maria and enjoyed the scenery and animals.I still have not seen a Lion or Leopard, so I will not rest until I have seen all The
Big Five, and we will come back soon. Thanks to the staff at the different camps, they are always very nice."

Mopani Camp Review
"Overall the cleanliness and staff attitude was commendable.
One problem is no light source at the braai - this is a major problem when you wish to braai after sunset! If you have no torch it is a frustrating time spent peering at wors and chops, not knowing if they are done!
Shop had enough of everything you may need and the staff are very friendly and helpful."

"Check-in is slow but very friendly and charming personnel. Accommodation excellent, clean and more than adequate. Comfortable. A lovely camp to stay at.
Amazing leopard sighting in big dead tree at turnoff to Mopani Camp. Most memorable."

"Good cottage (everything worked); it would help to have a kettle. Staff in the restaurant slow-moving, but manageable. Good view of the dam. Vicinity: teeming with big cats (3 male lions, 2 cheetahs, leopard 2 x), v. impressive. Day trips to Letaba and Olifants provided us with their river wievs, without having to live in the overcrowded and overrated camps. Extend the restaurant menu - after 4 days, you've had it all. Overall - v. good."

Mopani
"We had a terrific stay at Mopani - the sunset drive with Able was very informative and fun, even though we did not see the animals (lion, hyena and wild dog) we really wanted to see (thanks for your efforts Able).
The chalet was spacious, nice and clean and the view from unit 11 over the Pioneer's dam was spectacular - pity we could only spend one night there."

Beautiful camp
"My husband and I took our 3 grandchildren to Mopani oh boy it was fantastic. The staff are friendly and the cottage was immaculate. Nicest of all was no bed making and no dishes it was all done for us.
We were so lucky to see Leopards and Hyenas on the road.
I left my grandsons camera on a pole outside the Gift shop and to my surprise when we went back to look for it, it was handed in to the shop, and in these times that does not happen very often. Mjopani was a super camp and will definitely go back there. Thank you"

"The receptionist charged me a day visitor rate for driving from Phalaborwa gate to Mopani camp, I was under the impression that because we were staying at the camp that this would fall away as we weren't day visitors? She said that when we reached the gate at Pafuri we would be charged the day visitor rate again... this didn’t happen... please advise…surely I should receive a refund ? Otherwise Mopani Camp is awesome I have stayed there before a few years back and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the park."
