Mopani Restcamp
The pervasive Mopani tree found in the Pioneer Dam area of Kruger National park lends both its aesthetic and its name to this primary rest camp. Thatched buildings with rock faced walls blend seamlessly into the natural environment, materials used to construct these buildings including rough stone, wood and thatching-grass.

Huddled against and overlooking the banks of the dam, visitors can take advantage of the winter trend for park animals to move towards water sources as they migrate towards the dam's edge, providing excellent viewing opportunities.

What an awesome time in an awesome camp. The bungalow was exceptional, no 52, with the best view. We took our Australian family with, their first time in SA. We realized that we do not appreciate our country like we should. We really enjoyed every minute, saw the big five!!! Awesome !!!! Thanks for a lovely visit to Kruger.
