A Secret

"Unfortunately, I enjoyed our stay so much with the splendid view from the huts over the fields up to the ocean that I have to keep it a secret. Sorry to do this. Jodi, at the reception as well as all the other staff and the "Padstal" were exceptional. The local food was excellent. I am pleased as an South African that we could contribute in this way to local income generation and work creation! The research into role of the Anatolian dogs in nature conservation is an exceptional example of lateral thinking. Thank you for sharing this secret. We intend to keep it out of selfishness and will never share it, for fear of never getting another chance to visit."

"What a treat to stay in such a well organised park. Simple and well-thought out. Even in a heavy east wind we enjoyed being 'outside' as we used the glassed veranda. The views are simply incredible and we saw a great variety of mammals, birds and flowers."

"By far the best chalets in the Sanparks group. The peace and quiet changes the entire experience. Driving the Eco route was an experience in itself. The game does not seem to bothered by visitors concidering the amount of visitors per annum. We will be back once a year"

"My husband & I spent one night at Skilpad Rest Camp. It was absolutely fabulous.
The word 'rest camp' gives one the impression that its a very basic camp - NOT THE CASE.
The chalet was lovely, beautifully clean and crisp. And what a lovely view over the mountains.
I'm sure it would be beautiful when the flowers are blooming. Would come back there any time."

"The accommodation at Skilpad camp is amazing, the attention to detail is super. We each even got a chocolate on our pillow. The staff are friendly and efficient. The Namaqua Park is all about the fauna and flora, we did see a black Springbok. I will definitely go back again."
