3 Day Kruger Park Safari (OS03) reviews

It was a fantastic experience. Sue our guide was a wealth of knowledge and patience. We could have not have asked for a more professional approach and her knowledge was bountiful. Carien our cook provided fantastic food with more than enough for everyone. Would recommend the Outlook Team to everyone. We were collected from our hotel on time and driven in a safe manner to and from Kruger.
Carien who did our booking was extremely prompt in replying to my numerous trivial questions and was always ready to answer everything.
Our overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable and will recommend it to everyone.

10 out of 10! I can honestly sum up my experience in just one word. Amazing! We were picked up from our place of residence in Pretoria by our guide, driven to the Kruger Park & then enjoyed a very pleasant and exciting 3 days at Kruger. Our guide was extremely effecient, helpful & knowlegable. We saw so much wildlife during our short stay & the experience will forever be imprinted in my memory. We also had our own personal chef! The food was delicious & the company was fun and friendly. I'll definitely go back and will again book with Outlook Safaris, as I feel it is real value for money. We had a fantastic scenic drive back to Pretoria, stopped for breakfast and lunch and feasted our eyes on the beautiful landscape. Thank you once again for such a memorable 3 days.

We had a wonderful Kruger Park experience. It is our first visit and we were most impressed with the efficiency, knowledge and service we got from Outlook Safaris. Our guide was friendly, passionate and took such pride in the expedition - it was really a wonderful experience.
We will have no hesitation in recommending this mode of seeing the Kruger Park to our friends and family.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked this safari. I couldn't have imagined it would be as great as it was. Our tour guide was so wonderful. He was fun and professional at the same time. He was also very knowledgable. The meals that were made for us by our cook were also fantastic. There isn't one thing I can think of that I would have wanted to be better. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this safari to anybody. I am already telling everybody I know that they have to go and do this trip. Thank you for the time of my life!

Most enjoyable 3 day visit which was excellent value. The two day safari drives and one dawn and one evening drive were plenty to see the park and many animals, including many zebra and antelope, close views of giraffes, baboons, elephants, lions and water buffaloes, as well as a rare sighting of a cheetah feeding on a kill. Also saw hippo and a couple rhino. Accommodation in rhondavel was very comfortable, and distinctive, with air-con and mosquito guards on window. Also liked the park-like setting and facilities at the Skukuza Base Camp. Tour Guide was excellent - very attentive and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to be part of a very small group of two couples, so ideal for good photography from tiered seating in a jeep. The meals with guides and other couple in a tent were pleasant, but need to be prepared for the 5-6 hour drives to and from Johannesburg. Happy to recommend to others.

The 3 Days Kruger experience is one of the most memorable experience I will forever treasure. The park itself is a heaven itself plus the trip was made more exciting and fun by our camp staffs Kylie, H and Jonathan... Definitely more people from the Philippines will visit Kruger when they'll see our photos. Many thanks and MABUHAY!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day safari to Kruger National park. The team were so friendly and helpful and during our safari's we saw most animals. The knowledge of Willim was exceptional and went a long way to making the safari a success. I believe we are now one up on him as on our way out of the park we had an up close and personal experience with a cheetah, as close as we did with the lions. FANTASTIC. You should keep trying to get the sunset tours as the Park does not run them anywhere near as well as you do. Accommodation was good and Jonathan's meals were very enjoyable.
Once again thank you for a great experience.

Although travelling alone for these 3 days, this was a really great way to see Kruger and learn more about the Park and South Africa. The mixed group from all over the world were really friendly, and Willem was a fantastic guide - sharing his tremendous knowledge and experience in just the right way at the right times. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of very nice food and wine.
No leopards this time, but amazing to get to see many other animals.
Definitely recommended to anyone considering this tour.

I would highly recommend this trip. The guides and drivers were professional, knowledgeable and personable, the accommodation lovely - old-fashioned, no-frills comfortable and appropriate. The food was fabulous, served under the stars with aplomb. Despite the fact that the Kruger was recovering from major flooding, we saw a wonderful variety of game in the fantastic landscape. I loved the fact this was a group with an environmental outlook and ethical, respectful approach to the animals and the land. Not for those needing indulgence and showmanship; great for those wanting an outdoor experience with integrity. Well done.

We enjoyed our 3 day safari tremendously. Our hosts Kylie and Jonathan were very friendly and welcoming. Kylie is extremely knowledgeable and the drives were amazing, she pointed out so many animals that we would never have seen if we had been on our own, we saw all the big 5 and many more animals besides. Jonathan is an excellent cook, the food was very tasty.

Tour itself was fine. Kruger Park was amazing!
My only problem involved the pick-up. I was told I was to be picked up between 7 and 7:30 at the Intercontinental Hotel. After waiting in the lobby for an hour I rang up to be told that the driver had spoken to the hotel staff and upon deciding that I wasn't staying there (the hotel booking was in a slightly different name) left without:
1. waiting till 7 to see if I showed anyway
2. he failed to walk the lobby to see if I was there
3. he failed to ring me (he had my number)
The bus then had to turn around and come an get me, delaying the rest of the tour by hours.

We visited Kruger Park in March and it was a wonderful experience from the very beginning to the end. Our tour guide, Villem, I'm not sure if I spell the name correctly, if not, sorry, was just amazing, right man in the right place; he had the passion, knowledge and the sense of humour that it takes to do great job. He made us all feel relaxed, taken care of and also aware of the miracles of nature that we were able to see. He knew where to take us and he had the right hunch. Also between the rides he was great to talk to and fun.
The accommodation in the huts was lovely, it gave us a taste of Africa, the food was delicious and the chef such a nice guy.
Also the man who picked us up from the Nelspruit airport, unfortunately I can't remember his name but it was March 17 around 10 am, was a great road companion and a great help because my luggage did not get to Nelspruit from Jo'burg and I did not really have to worry about anything because he took care of it and when we came back from our first afternoon ride my suitcase was waiting for me in the van, which was a huge relief.
Luckily we were able to see the Big 5 and more so we were delighted, and driving through the Park was amazing, it's like nothing that we had seen before. We are already thinking of coming back to Kruger :-)
Wonderful experience and we strongly recommend it.

Our trip to Kruger, albeit short, was a great experience that I hight recommend to anyone that hasn't visited at least once in their lifetime. I'm sure you could comeback multiple times and see something new every time. Only saw 4 of the Big 5, but many other interesting animals. Accommodations were excellent and staff courteous and eager to please. Kruger belongs on everyone's bucket list.

Kruger Park is definitely a must see, however if you are travelling from Joburg and wish to relax a bit, I would recommend to reserve 4 or even 5 days, instead of 3. Our experience started with late arrival of our pick-up, which was very disappointing, as we were getting up early to be picked up at 7am and instead the driver arrived at 9am. This spoiled the whole 1st day, as we were only rushing to meet the night-viewing truck departing at 4pm from Kruger park. The night drive was definitely not worth the rush: 25 people cramped in a noisy vehicle, very unprofessional guide and no surprise, we've seen only elephants and impalas. We then had a dinner cooked by our guides - nothing special and very small portion. Next day was much better, as we've spent it with our guides only, 9 people in a viewing 4x4. We've stayed in Skukuza and as the camp offers plenty of activities including museum, it was pity we had only 3.5 free hours to spend there. We've all agreed that it would be worth to spend there a full day, relaxing on our own. Next day was again an early start and basically full day drive with few short stops to Johannesburg. As the van we were in was rather uncomfortable, the experience from the 3rd day was not so positive.
Next time, we will definitely hire own car and a private guide, to give us the opportunity to stop, where we want to. There are so many beautiful spots worth the visit on the way from and to Kruger park! Alternatively, we will be considering a private reserve, to see more game and have a more personalized approach.
If you have time, reserve 4 or 5 days instead of three, as the driving distance to Kruger park is almost 6 hours from Joburg.

I stayed at the Skuzuka camp site in one of the bungalows.
The outlook tour guides were fabulous. Kylie, francois, Moises and Adel are a great asset to the company. What was included upon the tour was unexpected. The dinners and. Real fast were great. We saw all the bug 5 animals which was great. I would definitely go back. They even to us to God's Window, Lisbon falls and Blyde canyon... Going to these sites was totally unexpected, but worth the trip. The sites were breathtaking. Thank you.

Our safari was truly amazing right from the pick-up at the airport. Aderta, the driver, was very friendly, professional and informative. We arrived at the park early and our driver took us through the park for 90 minutes before we even checked in. We saw three of the big five during that drive. On our evening sunset drive we saw all big five within one hour! A feat usually unheard of. We even saw two leopards; one in a tree and one pacing by the road. The evening meals were delicious under the canopy of stars. Jonathan, our guide for the safari, was very professional and knowledgeable. He accomodated all our needs and stopped whenever we desired. Our group was small, only three of us, so it was like our own professional tour for the three days. I would not hesitate to recommend this company again.

I can't say enough positive things about our Kruger Safari. My sisters and I have been dreaming of this trip for years. Carien du Plessis organized our trip and made the airport transfers and overnights seamless. She was prompt and professional. Brad, our safari tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable. He put us in touch with the sights and sounds of the park to enhance our experience. We saw animals we never expected to see in their natural environment and left with a new education and memories of a lifetime. Thank you Kruger for your hospitality.

Exceptional, life-changing, awesome all barely describe how wonderful it is to see truly magnificent animals in their natural settings. The guides have extraordinary eyes to point out and explain these great creatures. The food, the drives - everything was marvelous except the accommodation, chalets that have not been renovated in 30 years. The windows would not lock, the safe, sink, toilet and screens did not function properly. We are told the woman in charge of these conditions is afraid to confront her boss about this. I would think twice before recommending this safari. No, I would think three times.

Me and my friend booked this tour without much intel about what you do on a safari and just a general idea that we want to go to Kruger.

The tour was very well organized. All the small things were thought about. Our guides were very professional - always on time (which is not something that can be taken for granted in Africa). Very knowledgeable and most important - really easy going and fun to be around.

I would definitely suggest the tour to anyone that wants to have a truly enjoyable, hassle free safari experience.

My husband and I had a great time on the three day safari. The tour guides and drivers were all very professional, helpful and friendly. We saw all the animals we hoped for and more. The food and wine was surprisingly good and there was a very convivial atmosphere. The lodge style accommodation was fine, although I would have preferred contemporary African print soft furnishings, and we were well provided for at the Skukuza camp. We joined and left the safari at Nelspruit Airport. On the last day the weather was appalling, which spoilt some of the views on the panorama route drive, but we really appreciated the skill and efforts of our driver Mos who delivered us safely and in good time to the airport.
