5 Day Kruger Park & Sabi Sands (OL05) reviews

We had a good trip and saw lots of animals. Our guide,Robin, was excellent at the guiding, but his culinary skills were questionable! Our biggest concern was that when he met us, he was very tired, as he had done a back to back safari and had only 3 hours sleep. Nobody in that state should be driving clients. He had no time to shop for food and was unprepared for our trip. Naturally,we helped him, but from the itinerary we did not think that it included supermarket shopping.

It was a very expensive safari and the Kruger part of the trip was very basic. Sabi Sands was terrific in every way. Robin really should have had an assistant to help with the driving and cooking. I am sure that if you look back at your records you will see at what time the previous clients arrived back in J'burg and then when we left for Kruger. It is a very long drive back, especially when stopping off at God's Window etc. He had no time to rest up for the next trip. Our transport was very unsuitable for viewing game, but this was a last minute switch apparently.

I hope that these comments have helped and I will be very interested to hear your reaction.

Exceeded expections! Pickup at JNB and transfer to Outlodge Lodge was easy and quick. The Lodge is very nice and comfortable, but the staff made it special. They will do anything to make you feel at home. Robin guided us in Kruger where we saw 4 of the big 5. Robin was tireless, knowledgeable, and very user friendly. Chalet was clean and comfortable; and the food was good. Sabi Sand was even better! We
stayed at Nkorho Bush Lodge. The Lodge has 7 chalets and 32 employees to take care of you. The food was Excellent! Jason guided us every day and we saw the big 5 and more over and over.

Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable but relaxed and funny all at once. Accommodations in Kruger were nice and everything was close in. the food prepared by the guides was delicious and filling.

The animals were everywhere. We had the opportunity to see a black rhino up close and a family of ground hornbills. Both very rare.

Our stay in Sabi Sands was wonderful. The accommodations were spectacular, large, luxurious, and the staff willing and able to help out with every wish.

The only thing we would have done differently was to take a 6 day 5 night safari. It was a morning drive between Kruger and Sabi Sands, and with the drive the last day it would have been better to have an extra day in Sabi Sands.

This was a trip of a life time. We will always remember the warm and welcoming staff and the experience they provided.
