Kruger Park is a wonderful experience.

"Absolutely wonderful four days spent in the Kruger Park. Will definitely go again in the not too distant future. Will also definitely stay at other camps, not only Satara."

Now this is where it got better

"Satara was lovely, good rooms, spacious and very well-equipped. We had to work really hard to see the cats, but Satara gave us all 3!!!
Will definitely return here."

Stay at Satara

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However I feel Satara needs to mark their camping sights clearer. As first time visitors to Satara we didn't know where we could stand, very confusing!"

Our trip to the Kruger Park

"We had a great time in Kruger Nationalpark. We spent 3 days and 2 nights (Satara and Olifants rest camps). Both camps have a really good standard. All facilities are in a good condition, clean and safe. The staff is friendly and helpful. The offered products (such as meat and wine in the supermarket) have very good quality.

The bungalows are well protected against mosquitos."

Where the animals are

"Satara never ceases to amaze you. It is a great viewing area, lots of variety and clear views, follow the groups of cars and you will see everything. Great camp and shop, nice pool area, all in all a great place."

Beautiful place and different scenario of vegetation

"When we were driving from Skukuza to Satara it was a wonderful change of scenario... The vegetation changed abruptly and we could saw lots of zebras and buffaloes! We also saw a leopard during the sunset game drive... But I was kind of disappointed because I thought we would see cheetah there but the guide told us it wasn't possible in the Satara. But I read that Satara is the cats area! I also didn't like the sunset game drive because the guide didn't want to stop to see Waterbucks and others animals that we would like to see and take a picture... It seemed like he wanted to go home and was in a hurry!"

Unit D93

"On arrival, noted that we were not booked into a unit that we had asked for - i.e. air conditioned bungalow with kitchen + utensils + shower/loo etc. Not too sure where the mess up occurred as we have booked through you on numerous occasions - and never had a prob. So we were shifted to another Unit D23 for one of the 2 nights booked - which had a mildly cool fridge - needs to be replaced, and a kettle that didn't work - Oh, and no water - but that effected the majority of the camp. The 2nd nite, we were shifted to another Unit - one without cooking /utensils etc - which meant having to pay higher than normal prices for plates/spoons/knife etc at the in camp store. So, overall, not the best trip wev'e had. Sorry, but you asked!"

Satara Restcamp

"Our stay at Satara was stunning - we just struggled with no warm water in the shower for a few days. The restaurant at Satara should think about selling hamburgers and toasted sandwiches please."

Hope better next time

"We loved the park. Staff friendly and helpful.
A were disappointed with the bungalows. Our bungalow Aircon didn't work and there was no fridge.
We were moved to another one, much better but fridge didn't work this time as well.
Kindly swopped out the next day.
Considering the cost per night I think better quality could be expected.
Note also experienced many cars speeding.
Thank you!"

Satara Restcamp

"Was very nice except we heard music in the evening from the staff quarters or someone house right behind our chalet. That low noise of bass that was not nice."

Enjoyable Relaxing Rest

"What an enjoyable relaxing time we had. Thanks for keeping the place clean and tidy. My visits to the various camps have always been relaxing and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Only one suggestion – a bigger variety of meat in the shops."

Good Location

"The camp is in a good location for game viewing. the bungalows need some refurbishment. The restaurant supplies good food for a good price."

Satara Restcamp

"The camp was dirty and untidy, the grass in the centre of the circle of huts where we stayed, had not been mowed and was long. There was litter in the grass and the dustbin lid was broken."

Satara Restcamp

"The camp itself looked "tired". The inside of the two bedroom unit showed major signs in lack of maintenance. Night drive was superb and proved to be a "MUST"."

Satara Restcamp

"The only comment I have, is that the conservancy fees should be included in the original booking fee, it came as a bit of a surprise when we checked in. This should be included in the initial booking fee, or should be specifically mentioned how much on check in would have to be paid."

Fantastic Camp with great accomodation

"Perfectly comfortable and clean, spacious accommodation, we even managed to see a honey badger which came to our bungalow in the middle of the night! The unit is private enough for a couple :)"
