Shimuwini Bushveld camp

Named after the Shangaan word for "Place of the Baobab Tree", Shimuwini camp takes its name from the massive trees which flank the nearby Letaba River, the oldest estimated to be between 2 000 and 3 000 years old. Rebuilt entirely after flooding in the
Kruger National Park during 2000, the camp also has its modern finish to set it apart from the average camping experience.
The ubiquitous east lying Mopane Tree and mixed Leadwood, Apple Leaf, Jackalberry and Nyala trees in west of the Letaba river arch over and around Shimuwini Camp. Meaning "Place of the Baobab Tree", this camp's name is taken from the massive, sky scraping trees along the banks of the nearby river.
