"again all was perfect but we were sold a three hour walk for 4 of us costing R1320:00 we ended up driving for 35min walked for 1hr 20min it was great but then returned to the vehicle and drove another 35min back so instead of a 3hr walk it was only 1hr 20min so mathematically we should only have paid R586.25 i just feel that is what we were sold and we didnt recieve the whole package!!! that was our only let down. all the rest was best thank U all."

Great time in the Kruger Park
"Despite the awfully dry weather, we were very lucky to see all of the Big Five, and much more. The Kruger Park always has a nice surprise for you."

Skukuza Tented accomodation
"We enjoyed an amazing trip and found Skukuza a useful central stop in the Park - it is hot and I would advise people not to go later than early October if they want to see a lot of animals as we did."

"The park was amazing, the Staff??!! shocking!! I know they deal with people all day every day and it must become very testing but the staff were not friendly, they made me feel i was intruding on there time being there. We also went on a night drive in the park. WOW what a mess!!! the lights did not work, our guide spent most of the time trying to find other vehicles to borrow lights form!! guys you charge R160 per person, 22 people on our truck, that is R3520 per drive and you had one!!! one! light!!! come now is that the best South Africa can offer!!!"

"Great Park. Good facilities. We did not expect power in our tent which was a bonus. The Park could do with some money spending on updating the fittings of the wash blocks but still of an acceptable standard."

"I will always have an excellent time in the Kruger as it is my favourite destination. A concern is that some people don't care about other guests in the park, e.g. making a lot of noise after 00h00. Some of the staff at reception can try to be more friendly. Also I found a lot of litter in the field. Otherwise, I have no problem whatsoever. Please keep up the good work."

AMAZING EXPERIENCE
"Just to think you live in a country with such beauty at your door step. I personally had an amazing time. It was peaceful. It's such a great experience to watch and learn about the animals we saw on the game drive the guide was very informative. On the way in and out the park was just as awesome with observing their animals in their habitat. Great stuff!"

"The stay was not too bad. I will recommend more lights in the campsite area. We did not take a light along as we expected to have lights close to our tent, so we were helped by another camper with a light. The ablution blocks are kept neat and tidy, thanks."

"I have visited the kruger and a few other game parks as well as etosha pan a few times. The Kruger is general a nice all round experience and i will always come back as i truly love the park.
I do have one complaint however: we stopped over at lower sabie to get some coffee and waited 25 mins in the queue to get served, the people behind the bar were working very hard the problem is that there was only one person there and it was impossible for him to keep up. it made my sad and a bit embarrassed because there is no reason why more staff cant be employed. Kruger can do better
otherwise it was a a great experience and i'm looking forward to my next trip hopefully in may 2010"

Kruger Park - Skukuza Aug 3rd to 6th 2009
"Rooms (as expected from previous visits) were basic, but comfortable, clean and sufficient for our needs. Shops well-stocked and canteen /restaurant prices very reasonable and staff friendly and efficient. One small comment on restaurant breakfast - standard was excellent, but unusual for us to be charged extra for tea or juice - simpler perhaps to put price up a bit and allow both drinks to be included.
Overall experience was excellent - we spent whole time south of Satara and, compared with visits in previous years, were delighted with the number of lions (15), rhinos (5) buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes and elephants (dozens) seen, but were surprised how few zebras we saw (only 5 or 6).
We'd recommend the Kruger Park to anyone visiting South Africa."

Skukuza
"I found this rest camp old and in need of a face lift. The really nice part was the wooden deck that overlooked the river as well as the path along the river. The curio shop was big and had a lot of choice. Prices however where expensive and I feel sorry for the locals who come to enjoy the park."

"We had a wonderful time at Skukuza and Berg-en- dal. Both places were perfect for our staying at Kruger Park. In addition I would like to remark that the people in there was extremely kind and we were very comfortable with them. Thank you for giving us a great holidays!
The best in this place the views from the lodge
We will recomend the place to everyone.
Best regards"

"The Guide for morning walk was excellent(Eric)
We were very disappointed that when we arrived for morning walk they did not have our names on the list. We were given indemnity forms when we checked in. The person who booked us in at reception was totally disintersted and unhelpful."

A special treat for my UK godson
"My godson visited SA for 2 weeks in July so I thought I had better take him to the Kruger Park for two days. I had not been for many years and had forgotten how wonderful the wild environment can be. The accommodation was also excellent. The good thing about Kruger is that it is not a zoo, nothing is guaranteed, you can drive many miles and not see anything, then you meet a pride of lions. Our best period was NW of Satara, following a river. Hippos, crocodiles, elephants and all the usual antelope. It was fantastic, something my godson will never forget I am sure. He will go home to the UK and tell everyone about it, which is good for SA tourism and our economy.
I attach a photograph of the river bank.
Thanks
Marcus Chatfield"

Lots of animals, awful food
"My boyfriend and I had an excellent time viewing the animals and saw so much in the short time we were in the park. The accommodation in the bungalow was excellent too. Our experience at your park restaurants however left much to be desired. The soup was made from powder, the stirfry was flavourless, the pastas were awful. Nothing we ate was good - we ended up buying two-minute noodles in the park shop and eating that instead. If the food was better, my overall experience would have been exceptional."

"While the housekeeping and shop staff are extremely friendly and helpful the same cannot be said for the reception staff. The staff in the reception area are shocking, they remind of the most unabiding, unfriendly, government officials."

Under canvas
"We went low budget this time staying in tents at Skukuza. They were very basic but added a little to the adventure. Game was a little scarce around the Skukuza area this time but we have been luckier in the past. The camp is large and very well appointed and I would not let the lack of game put me off. The real thrill of a big game safari is not knowing what you will find, if anything. I sat with a large male Kudu for 20 minutes. He was very close to the car and although not big 5, Kudu are very impressive and do not normally stand around waiting to be photographed. All in all I got what I paid for and had a wonderful time."
