Mammals to spot while out on safari in the Richtersveld area include caracal, Black-backed jackal, Porcupine, Chacma baboon, Brown hyaena, Duiker, Klipspringer, Steenbok, Leopard, and Dassie, out of many others.

Birding here often yields Ostrich, Purple Heron, Darter, Booted Eagle, Martial Eagle, Osprey and Peregrine Falcon, African Black Duck, Curlew Sandpiper, Cape Eagle Owl, and the Pied Kingfisher, although many others can be found.
