Shaded by gnarled Jackalberry and Weeping Boerbean trees, the camp comprises five, fully-furnished, thatched bungalows built in traditional style. After dark, paraffin lamps create a romantic atmosphere of the Africa of old, as the night air is filled with the sounds of the wild. Gomo Gomo Game Lodge caters for two to twenty two guests.

Each thatched bungalow is tastefully furnished, with single beds in all rooms except the spacious honeymoon suite with its queen-size bed. We also added 3 en-suite east African safari tents built on wooden decks overlooking the Nhlaralumi river. Each tent with 2 single beds. Tents are semi-luxury.

All meals are included. Children all ages are welcome to join game drives, but they have to be 12 years and older to join the bush walk The accommodation and peaceful bushveld surroundings of Gomo Gomo are ideal for business meetings and small conferences, although participants must bring their own specialized conference equipment.

Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck in an open thatched-roofed lapa overlooking the water hole, while dinner is served traditional African style around a log fire in our boma.
During the day guests can relax on the deck or cool down in the pool. At night the camp is lit by kerosene flares, which contribute to the true bush safari ambiance and experience. Our friendly and efficient staff will endeavor to make your stay at Gomo Gomo a highlight in your visit to our diverse and interesting country.

Early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives are conducted in open 4 X 4 Land Rovers with well qualified and experienced field guides and trackers who will ensure an exciting and informative safari. An optional bushwalk with your field guide will open up the world of some of South Africa’s intricate ecosystems with its varied fauna and flora.

SAFARI

Your private safari at Gomo Gomo Game Lodge allows access to over 12 000 hectares of the finest big game country, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo thriving alongside giraffe, zebra and a variety of antelope. Bird watching is wonderful, with various eagles, owls, francolins, kingfishers, rollers and weavers among the over 300 recorded species. Game drives are conducted by experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers in open 4X4 vehicles, with excellent photographic opportunities.

Guided bush walks provide an insight into nature's finer details and the chance to track game on-foot.

Travel/Airport/Landing Strip
There are daily scheduled flights on SA Express Airways from Johannesburg to Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit (±1 hour's drive from the lodge)

There is a landing strip on the property, should you wish to fly directly to the lodge.
Airstrip information: Altitude - 1200 ft. Length 900m. Coordinates S 24 11.88 E031 21.68

Road transfers to and from the airport are available and can be arranged on request.

Avis and Europcar have depots at Eastgate Airport.

By road Johannesburg to Gomo Gomo is approximately a ±7 hours drive. Self drive to the lodge also an option through a very scenic and beautiful part of South Africa’s Mpumalanga & Limpopo province

Dress code is bushveld casual and lightweight.

Winter months – May to August – warm clothes needed for early morning and night.

A hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, flashlight and binoculars are recommended.

Introduction

Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a private and intimate camp situated in between the prestigious Timbavati and Klaserie Nature Reserves, giving you best traversing viewing of both worlds. Timbavati now forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park with a common unfenced boundary.
Our traversing area is approximately 8000 hectares (19000 acres) of the reserve offering guests varied landscapes with an excellent possibility of coming face to face with the “ Big 5 “ (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) and numerous other mammals and bird species in their natural habitat.

Situated in the very heart of the Lowveld, Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a unique getaway. Here, at last, is a bushveld retreat which allows you the freedom to plan your own activities, and unwind from the pace of day-to-day living. Gomo Gomo overlooks the Nhlaralumi River on the northern boundary of the Timbavati Game Reserve and the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Guests are accommodated in fully furnished, brick and thatch chalets all with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, tea/coffee stations and power points.

Rates

Rates are inclusive of accommodation, morning and afternoon / evening game drives, bushwalks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea and coffee and VAT.

Not included is the once off conservation levy of R100.00 pp, vehicle entrance fees of R80.00 and beverages/bar. (Conservation and vehicle entry fees can change without prior notice).

Children are welcome: 2 years and younger – Free of charge.
3 to 12 years pay half rate / 13yrs and older pays full adult rate, Children all ages join game drives, but they have to be 12 years and older to join the bush walk.

Payments
50% deposit is required for final confirmation and the balance can be paid seven days before arrival. We accept Diners Club, Master, Amex and Visa credit cards, Travellers' cheques or cash in SA Rand, US Dollar, Pounds Sterling and Euro. Bank deposits are welcome.
A proforma invoice will be faxed to you on confirmation of your reservation and an original invoice together with a statement will be posted to you.

Cancellation
A 10% cancellation fee will be levied on a cancellation 4 weeks and more prior to arrival. A 25% cancellation fee will be levied on confirmed bookings cancelled 2 to 4 weeks before arrival. A 50% cancellation fee on the total booking will be levied on bookings cancelled within 2 weeks of arrival. Full payment on confirmed bookings cancelled within 5 days of arrival or not arriving without prior arrangement.

Please note a 10% Admin charge will be levied on credit card and bank transfer refunds due to cancellations.

Arrival & Departure Times
It is recommended that guests check in at the lodge between 12h00 and 14h00 as lunch is served at 14h30.
