Twee Rivieren Restcamp
"We stayed in TWEE RIVIEREN REST CAMP FA2/4A (FAMILY COTTAGE) 26/12/2011 27/12/2011 no. 20 (Charmaine did the booking for us)
Bat “poo” everywhere, on the floor, on the beds, in the kitchen, on the table, everywhere. Bats in the roof made so much noise that we could not sleep at all the whole night. My children were terrified of the noise coming from the roof and had to sleep with my wife and I in one room, as it was very hot at least the aircon was working but I had to push a pack of “tissues” behind the air conditioner to stop it from rattling, could not close the room door as the lock was broken! no water in one of the taps! We paid almost a thousand Rand for one night! I feel ripped off! Especially after I found out that we could have stayed in a Luxury Lodge just outside of the Park for almost half the price.
On our way home (we drove over a 1000km to visit the park) there was radio discussion whether you received value for your money over for holiday, a man phoned in and complained about the bad state of the accommodation in the Kruger National Park. This was disturbing as we were planning our next trip to visit this park and would also have to drive well in excess of a thousand kilometres to get there, but now we are hesitant in visiting our National Parks. I am a South African and worry about what tourists are thinking about the expensive, dirty, substandard accommodation !"

"During our trip to SA I was to two Kruger park.
1.Augrabie Falls: Disappointed. 3 out of 6 platforms to view the falls out of order. I made a complaint at rec. and they say, it is written on your entry ticket. Should I read three pages to know this? Why was i not told this before buying the tickets? It will take just a second. Now I feel cheated, therefore I officially request to refund me park entry funds.
Twee Rivieren: Since a long time I have not seen such a bad place for a camping. I was there with a normal tent and imagine to nail the pins in concrete similar soil!
For both of places all facilities very well equipped, all appliances worked well.
Regards,"

Recommendations
"1. Again, upgrading of the ablution facilities are recommended.
2. The roads towards Twee Rivieren are of the worst that we've ever driven before. Something really needs to be done about them!"

Kgalaghadi visit
"Good camp with reasonable facilities. Enjoyed the park with some good birding and animal experiences. The roads in places could do with more grading."

"The aircon was not working properly . We were allocated the chalet closest to the road when the camp was not yet full.Surely these should be the last option ?The pool was not functioing up to standard ."

"Maintenance is not as it used to be !The restaurant food was not so good !

"The stay at Twee Rivieren were great. Great campsite, etc. However, the roads in the park were not great, I think you allow too many non-4x4 vehicles and that is not very good for the roads. We saw lion, cheetah, etc, and that was fantastic! It is just a pity that we couldn't get a campsite in either Nossob or Mata-Mata although there were more than 7 open campsites. When we asked the admin person in the office, she just said that you keep the sites for people from Botswana and Namibia! What a pity, I would think that we as South Africans will also have a chance of staying there and experience the park at its fullest. However, it was a great stay and we will go back!"

"would have liked to know of the special power plug required. Why can't they (the park)not rent it out with deposit ie R50 and then donate the monies to support a study fund for children.instead of charging R120 for my one day use."

"It was lovely... the Kalahari is so beautiful.
Only problem was that the Nossob road was not available, so we had to travel the same route every day."
